The Minnesota Whitecaps donated a Winny Brodt-Brown signed sports bra to the MZ & Emmers Sports Bra Auction for Breast Cancer. On April 7-8, over 200 signed sports bras appeared on eBay. Each one had its own starting time. The bidding will end on April 14 and 15. Go to www.ebay.com/mzemmerssportsbraauction to find the “landing page.” The auction is also featured on the www.ebaygivingworks.com page.

As a journalism major from the University of Minnesota, Minnesota Whitecaps defenseman Winny Brodt-Brown is comfortable in front of a microphone. It shows in the continued coverage she helps bring many hockey fans across Minnesota.
In her fifth year working the Minnesota Girls’ High School Hockey State Tournament Winny will once again be the TV analyst with KSTC-Channel 45. Winny will be covering all four games on Friday, Feb. 24, and the two championship games on Saturday, Feb. 25. If you want to see Winny in action and get a chance to meet one of your favorite Whitecaps, look for her on the concourse at the Xcel Energy Center this weekend.

The Manitoba Maple Leafs had another good showing for the weekend but the Minnesota Whitecaps continued to come back strong to finish on top. Friday night’s game in Chisago Lakes was all Manitoba until the third period when the Whitecaps sealed the deal late in the third with the winning goal ending the game 4-3.

The Minnesota Whitecaps hosted the Manitoba Maple Leafs over the weekend of Jan. 27, beginning with the first game of the three-game series at the East Bethel Ice Arena. The St. Francis community came out to support the Whitecaps with an enthusiastic crowd.
Before the game, some of the Whitecaps players held an hour long clinic for the St. Francis female youth hockey teams. The crowd was entertained by both national anthems as they were sung by St. Francis high school choir standout Sabrina Fivegel.

Last week, a few Minnesota Whitecaps players scheduled a gathering of support to bring a signed jersey to Jenna Privette and also stopped in to see Jack Jablonski at Hennepin County Medical Center. They found both Jenna and Jack in good spirits, despite the pain they were feeling. These kinds of situations go far reaching and are deeply felt by everyone.
