Programs for the female high school player

As a player progresses through the youth hockey programs and then transitions into the high school program, players and their parents often ask what should I (my daughter) be looking for when it comes to development, exposure to college coaches and events designed for the high school player. Players should think about several things before choosing a particular program.

2013-14 MGHCA All-State Teams

 

The Minnesota Girls' Hockey Coaches Association (MGHCA) announced their 2013-14 All-State Teams at the Ms. Hockey Awards Banquet on Sunday, Feb. 23, at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

Girls’ high school hockey coaches unveil inaugural Hall of Fame inductees

With girls’ hockey in Minnesota starting its 20th year, the Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association (MGHCA) has announced the establishment of the Girls’ Hockey Coaches Hall of Fame. It has been several years in the planning and will honor those individuals that have been pioneers in organizing girls’ hockey, along with coaches and administrators who have made significant contributions to the initiation, promotion and growth of girls’ high school hockey in the state of Minnesota over the past 20 years and beyond!

Senior Classic set for Feb. 28-March 2

 

The Minnesota Girls Hockey Coaches Association is once again preparing for the High School Senior Classic to be hosted at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. The dates of the event are Friday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 2. This annual event celebrating the careers of our best female high school players is now in its 16th year.

Tim Morris honored with inaugural Brano Stankovsky Award

 

Minnesota Girls’ Hockey Coaches Association (MGHCA) Executive Director Tim Morris was honored with the inaugural Brano Stankovsky Award at the annual Ms. Hockey Awards Banquet at the St. Paul RiverCentre on Sunday, Feb. 24.
