announce that a silent auction will be held at this year’s IHIA Trade Show
with all proceeds going to benefit the Herb Brooks Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to providing more opportunites for kids to
play the game of hockey. The Foundation will support programs which are
committed to the further development of both amateur hockey players and
coaches nationwide. “Herb was a great supporter of
this show,” Doug Johnson, president of Let’s Play Hockey stated. “And we are
very excited to host a silent auction with the proceeds benefiting his
foundation and it’s worthy grass roots hockey endeavors.” Herb Brooks is a man whose name is synonymous with the sport of
hockey. Brooks, who died tragically in an automobile accident in August of
2003, did so much for so many in his lifetime. “I’m beholden to him forever,”
said Craig Dahl in an article in Let’s Play Hockey, shortly following Brook’s
death. Dahl, who is the St. Cloud State University head men’s hockey coach,
who served as an assitant under Brooks’, continued “It’s said the legacy you
leave is how you influence the majority of people you come into contact
with.” If you would like
to donate any items or have any questions, please contact Let’s Play Hockey
at (612) 729-0023. Listed below are some items
