Two Lund 16’ Classic SS Boat Packages to be given away

Let’s Play Hockey is excited to announce that this year, two lucky show participants will each win a brand new, recently released Lund model 16’ Classic SS fishing boat package. These boat packages will be given away at this year’s trade show, January 31-February 2, 2005 at the Paris Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The drawing is open to all eligible buyers for sports stores and arenas, as well as exhibitors. Participants will have a chance to enter and win one of the boat packages by returning the poker chip that they received in Toronto in January of 2004 at the IHIA Trade Show.

The boat package will include the 16’ Classic SS with a Mercury 50 horsepower four-stroke outboard motor and trailer.

You must attend the IHIA Trade Show for a chance to take home one of these boats.

Silent Auction to benefit Herb Brooks Foundation

Let’s Play Hockey is excited to announce that a silent auction will be held at this year’s IHIA Trade Show with all proceeds going to benefit the Herb Brooks Foundation.

The Foundation is dedicated to providing more opportunites for kids to play the game of hockey. The Foundation will support programs which are committed to the further development of both amateur hockey players and coaches nationwide.

“Herb was a great supporter of this show,” Doug Johnson, president of Let’s Play Hockey stated. “And we are very excited to host a silent auction with the proceeds benefiting his foundation and it’s worthy grass roots hockey endeavors.”

Herb Brooks is a man whose name is synonymous with the sport of hockey. Brooks, who died tragically in an automobile accident in August of 2003, did so much for so many in his lifetime. “I’m beholden to him forever,” said Craig Dahl in an article in Let’s Play Hockey, shortly following Brook’s death. Dahl, who is the St. Cloud State University head men’s hockey coach, who served as an assitant under Brooks’, continued “It’s said the legacy you leave is how you influence the majority of people you come into contact with.”
