Reach Thousands of your Consumers

Let's Play Hockey's circulation continues to grow year after year.

In 2014-15, the publication's average press run was 9,074. The peak press run for 2014-15 was 11,547 (March 4, 2015 issue). The peak press run in Let's Play Hockey's first year in 1972-73 was 3,000.

However, given the close nature of the hockey community, and LPH's distribution in many sporting goods stores and ice arenas around the Midwest, Let's Play Hockey is read by many more than simply circulation numbers indicate. Many coaches, rink managers, and parents admit that each issue is often passed on from team to team, player to player, parent to parent, fan to fan. Estimates indicate that between two and ten additional readers see each individual edition of Let's Play Hockey, meaning as many as 110,000 hockey enthusiasts may see each issue.  Below is how our distribution works:

  1. Individual Paid Subscriptions
  2. Bulk delivery to regular advertisers
    1. Sporting goods stores
    2. Retail outlets
  3. Bulk subscription delivery to various outlets
    1. Ice arenas
    2. Hockey Associations

Let's Play Hockey is read throughout the United States and Canada, with a heavy emphasis on the Midwest (see chart). Approximately 78 percent of the publication's readers reside in Minnesota, with an additional percent living in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Other states that receive LPH regularly include North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska, as well as many other states and Canadian Provinces.

Let's Play Hockey is also distributed at all major youth tournaments, as well as other special hockey events.
